ESSENTIAL READING - BUILD YOUR NETWORK TEN NOW

"To allow just one more wind turbine industrial development in this country is to invite another to a hill near you"

Creating your Network Ten is one of the most important actions anyone of us will do in our battle to protect this country:

Shortly after a wind developer submits a planning application for a wind turbine site, there is a short period of time during which planning authorities can accept letters of objection to the application from members of the public.

AT THIS POINT WE MUST ACT IMMEDIATELY AND EFFICIENTLY

We must ensure that all those who object to npowers Batsworthy Cross giant wind turbine proposal can have their voices heard at the appropriate moment.

Therefore, prior to this event, you are asked to contact ten people who object to npowers giant wind turbine planning application at Batsworthy Cross.

These contacts are your Network Ten.

Ask each of them in turn find a further ten contacts each and so on.

This will be easy, the wind game has been rumbled, the Den Brook Valley wind turbine planning application received around 3,000 letters of objection. The massive 139 mile long, 200’ high pylon proposal in Scotland to carry wind energy south has received  more than 12,000 letters of objection.

Make sure that you will be able to get a message to each member of your Network Ten either by hand, by post, by fax or by email.

Start by making sure that they have access to this message i.e. this document.

Ask each of them in turn to do the same for their Network Ten and so on.

This will involve finding out the contact details of your Network Ten i.e. email, fax or postal address and where your nearest email, fax or photocopier facilities are, your friends and neighbours may be happy to help here if they have them.

YOU’RE NETWORK TEN IS THEN READY

npower have said that they want to submit a planning application for their wind turbine proposal at Batsworthy Cross, early in the new year (2006).

At the appropriate time, the Two Moors Campaign will have:

  • A standard letter of objection for those who wish to object by  adding their name and address to a standard letter

  • Guidance on key objections and the planning application number for those who may wish to compile their own letters of objection

This information will be available on this website, www.twomoorscampaign.co.uk throughout the valid period of time for submitting letters of objection to North Devon District Council Planning Authority regarding npowers Batsworthy Cross wind turbine site planning application.

An email stating that North Devon District Council Planning Authority are now able to accept letters of objection to npowers Batsworthy Cross giant wind turbine planning application will be sent to those with email on the Two Moors Campaign contact list.

The Two Moors Campaign website will also display notice of this information in the Latest News.

AT THIS POINT,

IMMEDIATELY SO THEY CAN RELAY IT TO THEIRS !

Oh, and Network 20, 30, 40, 100, 200 etc is really brill !
