A petition has been started objecting to the proposal for wind turbines at Batsworthy Cross

The petition states:

“We, the undersigned strongly object to the proposal by npower renewables to erect wind turbines at Batsworthy Cross, near Knowstone, Tiverton in Devon.

This is the gateway to North Devon – because of their giant size they will be clearly visible from Dartmoor to Exmoor.  They are inappropriate, out of scale with their surroundings and will have a devastating impact on the livelihoods of people over a vast area.

We want realistic constant energy from renewable resources, not intermittent, expensive and inappropriate turbines.
